It seems the news of Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 has sparked some enthusiasm at Dark Horse Comics to continue their well-received Aliens, Predator, Prometheus and Aliens vs. Predator Fire and Stone comic series! Randy Stradely, the man responsible for the very first Aliens vs. Predator comics, was recently asked on Twitter by a fan, what Dark Horse's plans were for the Fire and Stone series since the first set of series has since finished. Randy replied to the question by saying:
"We’re working on the next wave. The newly announced Neill Blomkamp film caused a restart."

Alien vs. Predator 3 – What We Know So Far
Officially, Alien vs. Predator 3 remains in concept phase for the time being. A reboot of the iconic crossover has been discussed on numerous occasions, with chatter picking up heavily from 20th Century Studios back in the Fall of 2024 after the successful release of Fede Alvarez's Alien: Romulus. The blending of Alien and Predator cinematic universes was further solidified in 2025 with Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands. The two movie monsters continue to coexist in the same timeline, but their conflict has not yet been realized since 2007. A reboot of Alien vs. Predator would likely ret-con the existing 2 entries and establish a completely new AvP timeline.
