20th Century Studios boss Steve Asbell continues to make posts and comments emphasizing his interest in rebooting a new Alien vs. Predator! The studio head recently took to X, sharing a photo from a 20th Century Studios office, with the Scorched Xenomorph from Alien: Romulus and the Father / Njohrr Yautja from Predator: Badlands in the background. Above the photo Steve added the caption LET THEM FIGHT:

Asbell has been gunning for an AvP reboot since October, 2024 and it appears his enthusiasm for the crossover has not dwindled since.
While the fate of the next Alien movie remains uncertain and no real indication of when or where the next Predator movie will go – some are beginning to speculate if 20th Century are quietly developing a new Alien vs. Predator movie behind the scenes right now. While Steve's post is no indication of any movement on the project, it does emphasize his commitment to making it happen... someday. What do you think? Is Steve making not-so-subtle hints at what's next to come? Time will tell.
Alien vs. Predator 3 – What We Know So Far
Officially, Alien vs. Predator 3 remains in concept phase for the time being. A reboot of the iconic crossover has been discussed on numerous occasions, with chatter picking up heavily from 20th Century Studios back in the Fall of 2024 after the successful release of Fede Alvarez's Alien: Romulus. The blending of Alien and Predator cinematic universes was further solidified in 2025 with Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands. The two movie monsters continue to coexist in the same timeline, but their conflict has not yet been realized since 2007. A reboot of Alien vs. Predator would likely ret-con the existing 2 entries and establish a completely new AvP timeline.
