20th Century Fox have revealed the new cover art for their upcoming new re-release of Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi horror classic Alien. At first glance the artwork looks pretty cool but hard core fans will quickly realise the confusing background graphic as not the Xenomorph from Alien, or any of the Alien films for that matter - but an outline of a toy of one of the Xenomrphs from Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. Why they chose to go with this Xenomorph design is unknown. Regardless, collectors of the series' physical media will likely wish to add this to their collection as well:
