I can just Imagine Shane Black making a Movie with a Big Breasted Female Yautja and the Dialog...
"you One Sexy Mutha! F£%£^$"
I think it would be Interesting to see what kind of Culture the Yautja have, i think maybe we cant ASSUME they would be similar to Humans
By that do they only see the Males as having the Right of Passage to HUNT? While the Females stay at home keeping the House in Order and Raising the Little Ones LOL, but i guess we could see a ROGUE Female go and ATTEMPT a Hunt to Prove that the Female of the Species are JUST as capable of Hunting etc...
Which could be Way to Introduce a Female to the Franchise.
But then Aesthetically what can we expect them to look like? Looking at the Concepts they seem to have that more Feminine Figure/Proportions and slightly more Feminine Bone Structure/Eyes they almost look like Barbie Doll Versions of our Ken Males.
Humans are Unique with our Diversity, if we look at most other Species on Earth then the Male/Females often look Extremely Similar apart from mainly Reproductive Organs etc. While some Species do have other Differences like a Lions Mane or a Orangutans Cheek Flanges.
So its a Question of what would make a Female Predator look different, maybe Physically as far as Size and Broadness of the Figure.
I have also said this before in regards to BREAST, we have seen some Fans do Female Yautja with Breasts, which would only make Sense if they Breast Feed their Young.
Are they Live Birthed or come from Eggs?
These are all interesting things that we DONT really know about this Species as we only see the Males who are the Hunt.
I would like to see how their teeth actually come into practical use instead of the intimidation factor.
I'm surprised we haven't yet! But I'm in the same boat, would be nice to see more of the Yautja lore explored.
Cool, I always like the concept arts of female yaut'ja. Hopefully we see one on the big and small screen one day
Poor Lance Henriksen couldn't get a break: shredded by an Alien Queen and killed by a Predator.
Maybe I should be clear and say that I have not watched it but from what I have read and heard at a podcast the last one in the franchise was trash. At least I did not waste my money. I have never been into that franchise, the closest that I have been is that I have watched the AVP but the predators have an interesting design.
I can understand some humorous comments here and there to lighten the tension, but there was too much comedy in the movie. I am glad Arnold wasn't in it. His reputation as Dutch is intact.
I definitely think they could have done a lot better with the last Predator movie. It's unfortunate it didn't build off of the 1987 original and kept some of the mystery grounded in serious suspense rather than slapstick comedy. Although it has some enjoyable moments, I think it was held back from what it potentially could have been.
Judging from how the last movie in the predator-verse went I would say that he made a wise choice to not be in it. I wonder how it affected the career for those actors that were in the last predator movie. Maybe some of them are embarrassed? I know that it is an article about a game but these are just some random thoughts, but at least they are connected to the franchise. Hopefully the game will be better than the most recent predator movie.
It is not a totally crappy movie, as far as I know the main character was not as annoying as Shaw so she was better but it has the same problem as the prequels, AR, and AVPR – the characters but AVPR is in its own league of shittiness. AVP is a movie that I have not watched in many years but as far as I know I only remember two of the characters namely Weyland and the main character (Lex, I had to look up the name). The pyramid was interesting and the way it was constructed, I like how it rotated now and then because it created some tension in the movie.
same here, it felt like an Iron Man 3 remake
The idea for the movie was sound and there were some great moments, but ultimately, it was pretty poor- and I really wanted to like it.
I think The Predator had a number of Flaws in the Plot...
I would have liked to have seen a bit of the Alternative Ending, i Certainly felt the Predator Killer Ending/Plot was Awful!
Its a Pity.... some Good Ideas in this Movie... but Execution was Poor!
Great Detail and Loving the Weapon ;)
Looks like a Interesting Game, Sadly i am a bit behind as far as my Games Technology....... on all Formats i have are Expired ;)
I guess someday i have to Upgrade to latest Generation of Playstation, Xbox or PC
Things I would change about AVP would be to scrap the prequel angle, fire Paul W S Anderson, and change the setting to the future to be more in-line with ALIENS.
I hope it, but I doubt it.
I think there are ways you could explore the Engineers and Predators.
We have not seen enough of the Engineers Technology to know how Technically Advanced they are to Match the Predators Arsenal. The Comics did show the Engineers do have some Weaponry however.
I think if it was ever Explored i would NOT have the Engineers as the Creators of the Predators or Vice Versa but have them Unrelated but at Conflict, or have them as Creations of some other more ALIEN Species.
Looking at the Engineers as in Prometheus Ones, then they are a Comparable Size to the Predators and from what we have seen a Engineer can throw a Human around with Greater Ease than a Predator.
Predator Technology seems to give them the Edge... but then there is a LOT we have NOT seen about the Engineers and what Technology they have.
There is Speculation the Engineers had STOLEN the Black Goo.
I think some may find this Image Interesting ;)
Cant seem to Upload Images.... so Compare.
AVP was not a Bad Flick.... if you consider it as Non-Canon then it was not to bad, it gave us the Action and the Effects were decent.....
Shame they had to Connect it to a 20th Century Time-Line and the Chariots of the Gods like themes.
Would have been much better if they had Discovered a ALIEN WORLD where there was these Pyramids and then revealed that the Predators must have Visited us in the Past and Captured Humans to use to Birth Xenomorphs.
AVPR had some Interesting things, it started off ok, but just went to POT Half-Way through..... i have watched it 3 Times and i cant see point in Watching it again... Mind you The Predator is just a Shocking too.
There is a Market for this, Good Popcorn Action is in Demand and the AVP License had Potential that Sadly the Movies never delivered.
I had thought that Disney would likely release a REBOOT of the AVP Franchise as its more up their Street as far as what kind of Flick they could Market.
The AVP Franchise has a lot of Comics and Games and they do offer us a Action Packed form of Entertainment.
A Animated Series which in effect gives us a Moving Comic is Logically a Good Step to take, its FAR more Cheaper than any Live Action Attempt.
I think if this gets released then its GOOD NEWS for the AVP Fans. If it does well then maybe we could see similar done for the ALIEN and PREDATOR Franchises Separately.
I hate every once of AVP: I thought it was okay at first when I first watched it in 2004 but the more i kept rewatching the more I hated it especially after rewatching the old Alien movies.
I have been championing the idea of Alien, Predator, and/or AVP anime ever since freaking 2006!
I hope they release it. Castlevania anime works great. And this can be a fresh breath for the A/P/AvP franchise.

it'll never live up to this.
These are Very Detailed for a Small Scale Model, they would make MUST HAVES for any Predator Fans ;)
Hmm... It looks like it's about killing and trophies. It would be interesting if you had to pick your targets more carefully. For example, you get penalized somehow if you kill someone who is not armed. Sort of an honor system with different endings like the Bioshocks?
Certainly looks Good.
I only played the AVP Game (2010) on Xbox 360 Once, about around 2012 (Crikey 8 Years nearly since Prometheus how Time has Flown). But i had played the 1999 and 2001 PC Games quite a bit and playing as the PREDATOR was always the Fun Way to Play.
With Technological Advancements i would assume there is so much more Depth to that Feeling with this Latest Installment.
Maybe i need a Upgrade as my Games Consoles are 10 Years out of Date and my PC is nearly 15 ;)
Salute to you for still reppin AvP! Haven't played in a while but used to love it.
Looking forward to this game lots !!!!!! In the meantime if anyone’s keen for some AVP on Xbox add me please. Gamertag = “DarkFader CUTTA”
Certainly the Engineers Plot does give us another RACE to throw into the Mix..
I think it would be BEST to explore this in Novels and Games First Though, but we did see the Engineers introduced into some of the Comics.
If they do another AVP, please do not reference AVP2004 by mentioning Antarctica. I would rather a rebooted AVP take place another planet far from earth
/ That is a neat idea! I preemptively root for the Predator.
They should do a new movie, with the following title:
'Predators & Aliens Vs Engineers & Aliens'
The premise for the story:
A Predator spaceship is running away from the engineers and lands on earth.
A derelict arrives to the earth's orbit and stays there, 'incognito'. Two derelict vessels enter in earth's atmosphere, to start the pursuit. Their weapons, deacons, to fight against the Xenomorphs imprisoned by the predators on the blue planet, Somewhere in Antarctica.
We need another AvP movie because the two first ones were bad,the third one will need to be better, with better characters, and a great plot for the movie, and action.
Ten years ago I did a treatment for an AVP prequel set in 1904, which embellished upon the extra opening scene we got with the home release of the first AVP.
In short, it featured 3 Predators as before hunting down a brood of Aliens cut off from the Queen, with one of them discarding its dome (a la James Cameron's idea) to differentiate from the other Aliens. The treatment culminated with the domeless Alien and the last surviving Predator facing off against each other with the Predator winning, but not before the Alien had melted almost half of its face off, revealing the Predator to be Wolf (from AVP:R).
That said, I have to echo that if AVP was to return to the big screen it would highly likely be rebooted, most likely featuring Colonial Marines (a la Aliens), in an attempt to emulate the success of the games and comics.
I really like the first AVP and would be fine with another one as long as it steered clear of AVPR. It should also not have a weird hybrid like the Predalien.
I doubt it is high on the list for Disney, but I would support it.
I think it depends on the Success and Interest in Future Comics, Novels and Video Games as well as Merchandise/Toys.
Disney would not want to spend Money on anything that they cant have some assurances would make a Good Return, so the Disappointment of Alien Covenant and The Predator does mean its UNLIKELY we would see one any time soon.
I do think however that Provided its a Reboot, and is more similar to the Comics/Games so its NOT set in the year 2004 but set in the Year 2200 or abouts then i think provided its a Good Script, and Budget, Cast then i think a AVP Reboot as just as much chance of making Money as a Alien Prequel, Aliens Sequel or another Predator Movie.
I'd take another AVP over Alien Resurrection, Prometheus, Covenant, and The Predator.
OOO! I might just get it or buy it. Heck! I might even add him into one of my AVP stories. Xenomorphs are f*cked.
