Last week, thanks to our friends at NECA and AFI, we got a first look at the very cool con exclusive Ambush Predator, a figure that will pay homage to the classic Kenner mail-away toy from back in the 1990's.
Now, we have a chance to learn a little bit more about this new masked monster, thanks to a look at the Ambush Predator cardback. Check it out!
A translucent retool of the Viper Predator from Series 12, the con exclusive Ambush Predator will come complete with two masks and a pair of battle blades. The bio on the card goes quite a bit into depth about this brand new figure, revealing that Ambush is a prototype armor developed by Yautja Enforcers, intended to be a cloaking system capable of generating a vector field from the user's energy.
The armor functioned, but often left its user near death and dehydrated from extreme exhaustion -until the mercenary known as Viper dawned it to suppress a clan riot.

Look for the wicked Ambush Predator figure to first be made available at San Diego Comic Con, followed by other cons throughout the remainder of the year!

Alien vs. Predator 3 – What We Know So Far
Officially, Alien vs. Predator 3 remains in concept phase for the time being. A reboot of the iconic crossover has been discussed on numerous occasions, with chatter picking up heavily from 20th Century Studios back in the Fall of 2024 after the successful release of Fede Alvarez's Alien: Romulus. The blending of Alien and Predator cinematic universes was further solidified in 2025 with Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands. The two movie monsters continue to coexist in the same timeline, but their conflict has not yet been realized since 2007. A reboot of Alien vs. Predator would likely ret-con the existing 2 entries and establish a completely new AvP timeline.
