To celebrate Facehugger Friday, a weekly event created by NECA to tease upcoming Alien figures, NECA have unveiled a first look at their upcoming Hadley's Hope 2 pack set which will be arriving this fall. The pack includes a figure replica of Carter J. Burke, the Weyland-Yutani company stiff who attempted to secure Xenomorph specimens at the expense of Ripley and Newt in James Cameron's ALIENS and an alternative, smooth domed Xenomorph figure!
The smooth domed look for the Xenomorph was scrapped for Cameron's Alien sequel due to a number of issues the dome crests experienced when put to practical use (such as cracking) and so the concept was scrapped in favor of the more skeletal aesthetic. It has since been accepted by most in the Fandom that the smooth dome was indicative of a younger Xenomorph and that as the Alien aged its crest became harder and more rigid. Another consensus is that the different domes represent different roles the Xenomorphs play in a hive setting - the smooth domes belonging to the Drones and the rigid domes belonging to the Warrior class. Regardless of its reasoning, this alternative figure will definitely make for a great addition to any Alien fan's figure collection.

Alien vs. Predator 3 – What We Know So Far
Officially, Alien vs. Predator 3 remains in concept phase for the time being. A reboot of the iconic crossover has been discussed on numerous occasions, with chatter picking up heavily from 20th Century Studios back in the Fall of 2024 after the successful release of Fede Alvarez's Alien: Romulus. The blending of Alien and Predator cinematic universes was further solidified in 2025 with Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands. The two movie monsters continue to coexist in the same timeline, but their conflict has not yet been realized since 2007. A reboot of Alien vs. Predator would likely ret-con the existing 2 entries and establish a completely new AvP timeline.
