AVP coming to Facebook!

While the AVP franchise may not have been as well recieved by movie audiences as studio 20th Century Fox would have hoped, the franchise continues to go from strength-to-strength in both comic book and video game format, especially the latter. After the success of the mobile game AVP Evolution the franchise is once again being adapted into another video game, namely the Facebook RTS phenomenon Soldiers Inc., developed by Israeli developer Plarium.

In the “Soldiers Inc.” Facebook game, the “Alien vs. Predator” characters will be used as an entirely separate experience from the original game: Players must investigate a temple of unknown origin and extract assets before a thermonuclear detonation. Gameplay features will include a multi-mission story arc, a series of global missions, side missions, special reward units, collectable in-game items and boosts themed around “Alien vs. Predator.”

Soldiers Inc., which looks a lot like the first Starcraft game from Blizzard (though in a contemporary setting) is to recieve an AVP mod. While fans of the facebook RTS can continue to play the popular game AVP fans can play the game using the AVP mod, giving them access to a whole new game based on the crossover franchise, which from the look of the artwork (above) released by the developers. will give players access to Aliens, Predators and Marines.
