This past week I was fortunate enough to read an advance copy of Dark Horse Comics' upcoming Aliens: Defiance #1 and I must say, the storyline Brian Wood has created, paired with the fantastic artistry by Tristan Jones makes Defiance a definite must-have for fans of the Alien franchise.
Without spoiling any of the story's primary focal points, I will say that it was great to see references to familiar characters and locations from the expanded Alien universe. Fans who have enjoyed the game Alien: Isolation will especially enjoy these connections.
Ultimately the story kept me engaged but left me wanting more. I'm excited to see where this series goes.
