Hey there everybody! I'm a scified guy here. I spend most of my time over on the Prometheus website, but my passion for alien and predator will probably take me here a lot! to any soon to be new comers to the site, welcome aboard! :)

A while back I mentioned that I had "mostly" written a treatment for an AVP prequel set within Razorback Point Whaling Station in 1904, as per the extra opening scene seen on the home home release of the first movie. I am currently elaborating it into a screenplay/script using Celtx. However regards ADI, IMO they have mutilated the design and feel of the Alien and the Predators, with IMO the best renditions of both characters having been made by Stan Winston Studios (Aliens 1986 and Predator 1987), thus I would like to see both creatures returned to their glory by SWS. Regards effects the Predator looked truly awesome and realistic in the 1987, for the Aliens however I do have a new technique in mind that uses a woman in a suit, with an animatronic head, CGI manipulation to lengthen the limbs and shrink the stomach, CGI additions for the tail and plenty of KY Jelly and superslime. As for the atmosphere, returning to the feel of both originals is the key, a group of humans being hunted one-by-one in environment far from civilisation - horror and suspense in a frozen environment, think 1982's The Thing, minus the "Questionable" effects.

I am looking for practical creature effects as much as possible! the CGI variety just doesn't cut it. I would hope ADI would get to do any effects in a future movie.. they know what it takes to make real in camera practical effects. Did a great job on AVP. I also would hope it would take place in a well lit environment. Not a fan of everything being in the dark. As far as a director, not sure on that one...

What's up peeps, the name is Feebs :). I'm a staff member from Scified (duh!). In the common AvP Imma side on aliens or dem hybrids like Chet, they're cool and freaky :D. First alien film I saw when I was some age (maybe 6 - 7 yrs.), pretty young tho and fell in love with dem franchise. I hope ya enjoy AvP and looking forward to meet ya all :D

My only gripe with ACM online is that you can't pick one team and stick with it as in if I pick marine I wanna stay as a marine instead of having to play an Alien when I don't want to. It's been ages since I've played it at all. Same with AVP 2003.

ACM actually has a fun online game play but haven't played it for months.

It's not bad. It's been a while since I played it online. I've been playing skirmish a lot to be honest. I've had some fun online with it. ***EDIT*** Just tried to play it online now but sadly there's no one hosting a game :(

i haven't touched AvP 1 in years, hows the multiplayer on that one?

I've not played AVP2 in a long time! In fact it's in my attic. I have the original AVP game on steam which I need to play once in a while I've played that online on the steam servers. The mutiplayer on the AVP 2003 isn't the best. It was OK for a short while then it just got terrible. Everyone wants to be a predator and everyone wants t kill each other since it has friendly fire. I might jump on it later one for old times sake and get a feel for it again but I know I prolly won't last long on it.

i always preferred AvP 2 but since they shut down master servers wasn't really bothered to download the master server patch after that. And isn't really the same since there are less servers with players nowadays. the new one isn't that bad but its not as good as the older titles. Yea Avpgalaxy tend to do game nights from time to time.

My names Adam and I'm an AVPSectrum veteran. My first Alien experience was at the age of nine when I saw Aliens and I've never looked back since. I'm a fan of the original trilogy and despise Alien Resurrection and the AVP movies. Anyone who knows me will tell you that lol. I hope the new site will bring some of the old faces from AVPSpectrum as well as new faces. I look forward to meeting you all!

I have it but it's for the xbox 360. I've not played it in a long time and not really a fan of the game. But a games night does sound like a good idea. I know other sites do the same with AVP and ACM.

Glaive and Maul, simply because they look cool bot hin style and use. There was a scene in the hobbit where the dwarves are escaping from the goblin king, and the fat dwarf was using a blunt weapon similar to the Maul, it was really cool moment. I envision a Maul being used in a similar fashion against a bunch of Aliens :D

deviant art has some great artists. This is a nice blend of an eve online galaxy shot and predators art. If anyone was interested where the galaxy background came from an online space mmo

This is my favorite game on iPhone 5 ;) . He has nice graphic and very good movement,attack and interaction on predator. But i have black bars on the edges :(( , He does not know when someone will come out update for the iPhone 5?

I agree somewhat, but if the toughest predators went(not that im putting xenos down or anytthing) i think the hypothetical director and/or creators would make it rain xeno bodies and blood(acid rain) you see what did there? but seriously i like how they would be show more respect by not being an initiation ritual but at the same time, it wouldnt work out for those who want to see aliens dominate or have an even fight with Predators

I liked the basic idea behind avp1 but that they shouldn't have used the alien as an initiation / proving ritual but rather as a species they hunted and made trophies as tey did with humans but that is regarded by the predators as the very hardest species to get trophies of. So only the toughest and most experienced predators took them on. The xenos were held on 4 planets where they were engineered on as the final testing station for predators and their weapons . An earth deep space probe discovered one of these planets where the xenos were engineered and mankimd sent a MIssion to investigate.

The glave, maul, and wrist-blades kicked ass too. I wish I kept the game but I dont have a PS2 anymore. Im on a new generation of game systems.

It would take away the life of the story. I don't think it'd work; after all; Colonial Marines is set after James Cameron's Aliens! What ideally we would have all liked to be Aliens 3! Hey! the Alien Vs Predator titles are great games For PC & 360 1999 to present!

Yeah, the Predator was just a matter of figuring out which weapon to use on who and then it was kill by the masses after that.

Not sure, but maybe would be cool as an unlockable character, for some Pred- hunting fun!

Probably my least favorite campaign to play as. The Predators were way too powerful compared to the Marines and Aliens. It was too easy to win as the Predator, with the Marine and Alien campaigns at least you had to somewhat think and plan your next move carefully. I would have liked the Pred campaign a lot more if its abilities were better balanced in relation to the other species.

I haven't played the game yet, but why was a rock, paper, scissor type of fighting game?

It wouldn't really fit in the story. I wouldn't like the idea.

My favorite weapon from Predator: Concrete Jungle must have to be the Maul and the Spear Gun.
